Our history

Catch Fiskeresor started its operations in 2018. 2019 was already a great success with a lot of fully booked trips. Unlike today, Catch only had Camp Steinfjord as a destination in the early years. The concept has consisted of package tours where it should be easy and affordable to experience Northern Norway from its best side. At Catch, we're passionate about our guests and have chosen to invest in a service that is offered in few other places.

About 40% returning guests annually tells us that we succeed, something we are proud of! A new guest is fun, a returning guest is great!

Our team consists of knowledgeable guides who are passionate about making every fishing trip unforgettable. We are not only there to help you catch your dream fish, but also to share our passion for nature and fishing.

Emil Spångberg - CEO Campsteinfjord

Emil is a person with an extremely keen interest in fishing. He spends many hours in front of the computer studying charts, as many hours are spent on Excel and numbers. Emil tries to spend as much time as possible in northern Norway and would like to make it his permanent home.

Jens Bacos - CEO Catchfiskeresor

A person who has the ability to make friends with most people he meets. Few people have a bigger network than Jens. Although he now spends less time fishing and more time developing the company, he still has a lot of knowledge about fishing. A knowledge he is more than happy to share with guests.

Marcus Norström - Camp manager

A structured and driven man who has been part of the business since 2023. Marcus has extremely many strings to his bow and has run many different businesses in his career. He's never afraid to roll up his sleeves and take on new construction projects, mechanical challenges or just put on his apron and act as a chef. Marcus is also a very good fisherman, the best if you ask him. Has countless training courses regarding sea, ocean and boats.

Ponthus Andreasson - Guide

A happy and positive guy from Gothenburg who loves nature, impossible not to like. Ponthus is always a hit with all guests and always delivers fantastic results both in terms of sea, lake and river fishing. Has been at Camp Steinfjord since 2021.

Robin Kanthe - Guide

Youngest among all employees and also our latest addition at Camp Steinfjord. Robin is one of Sweden's most accomplished species hunters when it comes to fishing. He is also a talented musician. You can find him along the west coast of Sweden fishing for sea trout, in a stream in Norrland looking for Simpa, but also headbanging at a concert in some dark basement.

Christer Kotkankalio - Guide

Christer has been with us at Camp Steinfjord since day one and is our most experienced guide. If you want to hear or learn how to tell a great fishing story, he's the man for you—no one does it like "Chrille." When the opportunity arises and he's not in Norway, he enjoys standing in a river casting for salmon with his fly rod.
