Sea fishing on Sørøya
Sørvær is located on the southwestern tip of the famous sea fishing metropolis Sørøya in northern Norway.
The location makes it possible to reach several really good fishing spots and shallow peaks within 10 nm of the camp, but it is also possible to walk on the real big sea and visit places like the legendary Storskalltaren, Kamöysund, Rosa and others.
In Sørvær there is a grocery store and gas station within walking distance, about 10 minutes from the camp.
Sørøya is a well-known name in sea fishing circles throughout Europe and offers big fish in several different species.
Perhaps the best known is the skrei fishing, which is absolutely top class with fantastic quantities of large cod with peaks of between 30-40 kg caught annually.
Halibut is probably the most popular species and really large halibut over 2 meters are caught annually.
Large redfish, large plaice, catfish, saithe, spotted catfish are other species caught.
There are always expert fishing guides on hand to give the best advice and tips on the latest fishing, lures and positions.
No prior knowledge is required from guests, all fishing can be learned on the spot.
All GPSs are updated with the best positions.

The restaurant
The restaurant offers a simple menu and has full rights. We serve Mack beer on tap from the World’s Northernmost Brewery in Tromsø. The outdoor terrace offers a magnificent view of the mountains and sea. We organize various events e.g. Pub nights with live music, buffets, football nights.
Our boats
We are proud that all our boats are high quality Arronet made in Sweden, model Arronet 23.5 spt and engines with150 horsepower of the brand Honda and Yamaha.
Simply a perfect combination for the sea off Sørøya!
The boats are equipped with sonar and GPS plotters from leading manufacturers such as Garmin and Lowrance.
Other equipment and aids for fishing are fishing rod holders, fishing cards in the plotter, grappling hooks, halibut hooks and tailrope.
Safety is very important to us, that's why all our boats are equipped with VHF, flares, first aid kit and anchor with line.
